The deer have become too many and too aggressive, they will come right up to you begging for food and they on occasion have threatened me and my dog when we were just walking around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I feel the deer population needs to be thinned out by hiring sharpshooters or relocation if that’s practical

  2. Lots of deer in my neighborhood. Most people here seem to have learned to live with them, and adjust to their eating plants, gardens, etc. They do carry rics, rho, which means people should stay away from them. Ofter the herd seems large, and some of them unhealthy. Could the herd get culled a bit when that happens?

  3. Mr Leslie McDonald Sr.

Thank you or culling these animals that are a nuisance. Their sizes were a shock to me when I was very close to them. They are certainly able to kill a person with their front hooves.

  4. This issue is both a public health and environmental concern. The deer population has grown by leaps and bounds in the clintonville ravines. My trees and native plants I have tried to grow have been trampled, eaten and broken or destroyed. Most of the understory plants in the ravines and the pollinators and small mammals that rely on these plants are gone. I have seen ( in the past 26 years) an unbelievable decline in foxes, turtles, possums, butterflies, bees and wasps and many more vital parts of our environmental health and wellness. This directly impacts climate and human health in many ways.

  5. It seems the link to Register for tonight’s meeting is no longer operational.
    I would like to Register.

    • Hi Constance,
I apologize. I monitor the CAC website and was out of town for a family emergency. I hope you were able to attend the event. The city controlled the registration page and we were simply promoting it. – Brittany Boulton, CAC Chair
