Bio – Mark Moritz – District 6

I have enjoyed living in Clintonville for over fifteen years and have lived and shopped locally as much as possible. My hairdresser, dentist, grocery, veterinarian, bicycle shop, farm shop, ice-cream shop, pizza place, and yoga studio are all within walking or cycling distance from where I live.

One could describe me as a Clintonville cliché – I cycle to my work at Ohio State, I drive a hybrid, my daughters are athletes at Whetstone High School, I grow some of my own vegetables, and I have a yarn bomb in my garden. However, Clintonville neighborhoods and residents are much more diverse and that is one of the great things about Clintonville – it defies the cliches.

I serve on the Clintonville Area Commission to represent the interests and voices of those living in district six and beyond. My goal is to make Clintonville sustainable and enjoyable for future generations, and in particular, to make it safe for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers to visit their shops and services in the neighborhood and beyond. I am looking forward to is to learn more about residents, their concerns, and visions for the neighborhood.
