Traffic Signal Box Art

Overview
Through crowdfunding via a GoFundMe led by the CAC Planning & Development committee along with other local support, there are five locations that now have their traffic boxes wrapped with locally created designs after over 40 submissions that were voted on by the community to pick the top designs for eventual installation.  See the locations below for the existing installations and hear from the artists themselves on their inspiration.  There are additional locations that are targeted if the necessary funding can be raised – you can still donate here to make those a reality: https://www.gofundme.com/f/CACtrafficboxart

I love the idea of original homegrown art here in Clintonville – it is such a unique, vibrant quirky community. I picked the Olentangy River to paint because it’s such a big part of our lives here. We’ve always lived within a few blocks of the Olentangy, going to the library, park and bike trail. I raised my kids here walking down to feed the ducks, walk or ride on the trail, play in the creek or walk the dogs. I’ve always loved art, sewing, painting, gardening and nature. I started painting more than 30 years ago, first with my kids at the kitchen table and later painting with a group of women here in Clintonville, such a warm and wonderful group, such a warm and wonderful place!
