The Clintonville Area Commission will hold a Special Election on Saturday, December 19, 2026 to fill upcoming terms for District 3 and District 9 starting in January 2027. The District 3 election will fill the seat due to a resignation beginning through Jan 2027 and continuing through December 2028, and that District 9 election will fill a full 3 year term beginning Jan 2027 through December 2029.
The boundaries for District 3 and District 9 are:
District 3: Bounded on the south by the center line of Weber Road, on the east by the railroad tracks just east of Indianola, on the north by the center line of Oakland Park Avenue, and on the west by the center line of High Street.
District 9: Bounded on the south by the Columbus City limits and the eastward projection of the Columbus city limits (west of High Street) and by the center line of Georgetown Drive and its westward projection and the south line of the State Schools for the Blind and Deaf (east of High Street), on the east by the railroad tracks just east of Indianola, on the north by the city limits of Worthington, and on the west by the Olentangy River and the Columbus city limits.
Prospective candidates who live in District 3 or District 9 can pick up a Candidate Petition Packet at Whetstone Library beginning Friday, October 2, 2026.
The deadline for submitting a completed Candidate Petition Packet in order to be certified to appear on the ballot is Monday, November 16, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
The deadline for submitting a completed Candidate Petition Packet in order to be certified as a write-in candidate is Friday, December 4, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
