Update: Clintonville Area Commission Election 2026

Districts on the ballot for this year’s Clintonville Area Commission election are numbers 1, 2, and 9.  The following candidates have been certified to appear on the ballot:

District 1:  Paul Lada

District 2:  Brenda Arnold

District 9:  No Certified Candidate

Write-in candidates are welcome.  They need to fill out a petition, including signatures of supporters, and file it by Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5 pm. At least 15 valid signatures are required. The Election Committee will certify write-in candidates by Tuesday August 11, 2026. Write-in candidate packets are available for pick up at the Whetstone Library Front Desk.

The Election is currently scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10 am – 2 pm at Whetstone Library, 3909 N. Hight St., Columbus OH 43214.  Early voting is currently scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6 pm – 8 pm, also at Whetstone Library.

Please note that under the CAC Election Rules, if there is only one regular candidate for a single district, and there are no write-in candidates for that district, the CAC will declare the regular candidate the winner of the election and cancel that portion of the election.  Further, if there is only one write-in candidate for a single district, and there are no regular candidates, the CAC will declare the write-in-candidate the winner of the election and cancel that portion of the election.

Updates on the status of candidates for districts 1, 2 and 9 will be posted to the CAC website and CAC Facebook page.

Voters must present photo identification and evidence of place of residence and age OR a signed statement that they are 18 years of age or older and currently reside at a stated address within the election district.

Boundaries for districts 1, 2 and 9 are:

District 1:  Bounded on the south by the Glen Echo Ravine, on the east by the railroad tracks just east of Indianola, on the north by the center line of Weber Road, and on the west by the center line of High Street.

District 2: Bounded on the south by the Glen Echo Ravine, on the east by the center line of High Street, on the north by the center line of Orchard Lane, and on the west by the Olentangy River.

District 9: Bounded on the south by the Columbus city limits and the eastward projection of the Columbus city limits (west of High Street) and by the center line of Georgetown Drive and its westward projection and the south line of the State School for the Blind and Deaf (east of High Street), on the east by the railroad tracks just east of Indianola, on the north by the city limits of Worthington, and on the west by the Olentangy River and the Columbus city limits.
