| Clintonville Neighborhood Plan Implementation: Call for Volunteers |
The Planning and Development Committee is seeking volunteers to participate in several new task forces that will begin implementing aspects of the Clintonville Neighborhood Plan.
|
The Committee is seeking members who will help to address topics including:
- Street trees: Working with the Columbus City Forester, the CAC, and neighbors to identify opportunities to increase the number of trees on public and private streets.
- Share the Road: Identifying opportunities to increase public awareness and public education about bicycle and automobiles sharing selected streets in Clintonville.
- Ravine Restoration: Work with several organizations to restore ravine areas using practical ecological methods. Plan for proper management in the future through the use of rain gardens and public education.
- Planted Medians: Consider planted medians at locations along High Street and Indianola Avenue.
The Planning & Development Committee meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 P.M. at the Whetstone Recreation Center. Check at the information desk for the meeting room. For more information or to volunteer for a task force, please contact Nick Cipiti at 614.267.1302 or at njac@msn.com. The CAC is very proud of the Clintonville Neighborhood Plan and welcomes all neighbors to provide feedback, volunteer their time, and assist in its implementation.
