What happens at CAC meetings?

Meetings serve as community updates for special projects headed by the CAC or in which the CAC participates. Individuals, neighborhood groups and contractors working in conjunction with the City of Columbus often present status reports regarding ongoing infrastructure improvements and current issues or concerns.

 

What is a District "Commissioner"?

The Clintonville community is represented by 9 Commissioners who represent a particular area district for a 3 year term. Each CAC Commissioner is a volunteer, serving the community by appointment from the Mayor of Columbus. Commissioners are nominated for Mayoral appointment via a public election within each District.

 

What is the Neighborhood Liaison Program?

The City of Columbus Division of Neighborhood Services provides each area of the city with a neighborhood liasion.  This person serves as a liasion between neighborhoods and the City.  This person is responsible for finding answer to questions of community residents.  For more information click here.

When and where does CAC meet?

The Clintonville Area Commission meets the first Thursday evening of each month at the Whetstone Library, 3909 N. High Street, in the Multi-Purpose Room at 7:00 p.m. (except as noted otherwise). The public is encouraged to attend. Meetings generally last until 9:00 p.m..

The Whetstone Library closes at 8 pm so please plan to arrive prior to the doors being locked.
